Introducing Banz

Banz
Banz is the Stocktonian of the party and he started cycling in the early 70's. As a junior cyclist he proved to be an excellent amateur stuntman but fortunately as the years passed his desire to stay on the bike increased. The bike was discarded for much of the 90s as the seedy world of Information Technology took hold...

It was the West London traffic which persuaded the two future big trippers to return to the world of cycling after one 90 minute 3.5 mile commute too many. Banz chose a "Barracuda Snakebite" as his new steed as he like the idea of a bike which packed the combined punch of a dangerous fish, lager and cider. It was also silver in colour although it felt like it was made of solid gold.

Particularly enjoyable was the renewed freedom Snakey brought (Banz does not drive) and the whole world of cool cycling accessories which opened up. Less than a year later, a big decision was made. They decided to sell up, head to Vic's home, Australia and (given the freedom from work, mortgages and little Banseys) get there overland. Mostly by bike.
